Do you take the time to appreciate your stakeholders?

Many leaders operate in an ‘achieve and reset’ mode; when a goal is achieved it is instantly replaced with a new one. This may seem the most productive way to function, but it can squeeze out the processes of recognition, reflection, and understanding.

  • Embracing the plateau, during calmer periods, can provide the time to nurture and celebrate positive stakeholder relationships.

  • From each perspective what’s gone well to date and can be built on? And what hasn’t been ideal and could be improved?

  • A plateau period can be the perfect time to stimulate stakeholder relationships because the lack of urgency will mean there is time available to develop these in preparation for the next stage of growth.

Do you set aside enough time to celebrate achievements?

Do you have long-term, symbiotic, appreciative stakeholder relationships?

Do you reflect on the challenges facing your stakeholders and adapt your interactions as a result?
